Dragon boat racing is one of the newest and most enjoyable activities you can do in Barcelona! Even though it comes a long way: it originates from China and the legend of Qu Yuan, a popular politician and poet 2,000 years ago who committed suicide by drowning himself in the Miluo river. When local fishermen heard about it, they raced out in their canoes to save him, but never found his body and the legend says the river dragon took away the body and soul of this much beloved person.

Well, this is the legend – nowadays, dragon boat racing is a great team sport enjoyed by millions of people worldwide! For our race we will form several teams, each requiring 6 to 10 paddlers and one drummer, your party needs to count on at least 12 people. It doesn’t require any previous experience and caters for all ages and abilities. First we will take a team picture and then introduce the group to the dragon boats, a warm up exercise session and a dry land practice will follow. After the safety & emergency instructions it’s eventually time to start the fun races in the sea! After our race there will be an award ceremony.

Price: this price is valid per person, with a minimum of 12 people. We can offer discounts for larger groups of more than 40 pax - please contact our office.

Weather: If adverse weather conditions do not allow to do this experience on the chosen date, we will offer to accomplish it on another day.

Requirements: A minimum age of 18 years is required. All team members must be able to swim at least 50 metres in ordinary clothing, and be able to stay afloat for at least five minutes.
